Home-based business coverage:
If you already have home insurance with The Co-operators, you may not need a separate policy for your home business; an extension to your existing home insurance policy may meet your needs. The following are just a few features of our home-based business coverage.
-Business property: Includes items such as stock held for sale, samples, supplies, filing cabinets, computer and associated software, tools and more. It also includes your customers' goods. If you attend events such as trade shows or craft fairs outside your home, the $7,500 limit on items temporarily away from your premises covers your stock while it's being transported in your vehicle or while at the event.
* On premise: $30,000 limit
* Off premise: $7,500 limit
-Loss of money - Covers up to $1,000 for any business-related cash lost on the property.
-Business continuation expenses: This covers you for up to $10,000 if your home becomes unfit to live in because of an insured loss. An insured loss can be anything you are covered for under your main Home policy, such as fire or other insured property damage.
Business continuation coverage will compensate you for necessary expenses while continuing your business from another location. With this protection, you can keep your business operating and focus on your customers' needs.
-Liability coverage: Insures your business against bodily injury or property damage relating to your company's products or services, as well as an accident or injury occurring on the premises, such as a messenger or customer visiting your home business and slipping on your steps.
More coverage is available under our home-based business package.
For more information please contact Quayam.
Your modest membership dues can be even cheaper if you refer members who sign up.
A 10% credit will be applied to your account, which is useable against your own membership fee or services provided by IDRC such a seminars, trade shows, signage etc.
