IDRC Newsletter Issue 24 - February 2011 - Feb 17, 2011
What a great start to the new year! Our participation at the Interior Design Show was a WOW and could probably rate as one of the best shows ever! This is coming from our own veterans in the business of Decor Trade shows, who have known our displays since the 90's. IDS11 had all the elements: great looking exhibits, good events and a perfect mix of attendees. Even the "public" days had a good amount of trade visitors. We signed up new members at several of our membership categories: suppliers, decorators and associated tradespeople. It was a lot of work, but well worth the effort. THANKS again to Tatiana and her understanding family, and to our display sponsors. We hope they received good value for their support. Here are a few pictures of our booth.

Our New IDRCanada concept is catching on fast, and there is tremendous interest in the International Home Show for March 31st, when we'll be presenting a "Kitchen Retreat" display combined with our regular feature of "Ask a Decorator" and our "retailer member" displays.
Decor volunteers are needed to assist with this display. Volunteers will be given priority shift time for the show. Some space will be offered to our members for their own individual displays at IDRC Members' discounted prices. Book early for this offer, as good spots may be limited.
Don't forget May 18th at Designers Walk, our next "FABplus Day" when our Decorator Members can learn about the latest products from our suppliers. "FABplus Day" is now the best value event of the year when we offer professional seminars together with FREE continental breakfast and lunch to our members. Still over 3 months away and we are close to 50% booked already. It is certain to be another "sell-out", so don't be disappointed by leaving your registration too late.
Please note, this is a trade only event. It's free for IDR Canada members and $40 for non-members. The fee is fully refundable upon joining IDRC. For more information, please visit our website's "Events" page.
Do you know you can list your business name with an email link on our IDRCanada website for FREE? Check us out and see how we can be of service to your business if you decide to become a member. This is your decor industry website as a registered not for profit association support PR group.

Gluke Art Studio was founded by Russian-born artist Sergey Abramov. For the last 20 years Sergey has been creating expressive art in the forms of iconography, painting churches, creating frescoes, as well as painting on wooden Easter eggs. In his work, Sergey often combines old techniques such as stucco, fresco and contemporary art which he applies to his decorative wall panels. Sergey's wall panels are unique works of art, each and every one of them is tailored to suit the customer's needs. They are also environmentally friendly. The design and colors are selected in full accordance with the style and light-range of an interior space and furniture. There are a few possible options with neon light that is not visible in the daylight, which will have phosphoresced light in the dark, even without any additional light. This will create an unforgettable effect on your wall.
